Filing deadline for race extended (Watertown Daily Times)
MADISON - The spring election ballot access filing deadline has been extended for the office of Jefferson County Branch I Circuit Court judge, currently held by John Ullsvik.
Weber joins race for county judge post (Watertown Daily Times) JEFFERSON - Attorney Jennifer Weber of Zick & Weber Law Offices in Johnson Creek has announced she will seek the Jefferson County Branch I Circuit Court Judge's position currently held by John Ullsvik who is planning to retire. With Weber's announcement, a primary becomes necessary Feb. 17. It will also feature Watertown attorney Steve Luchsinger and Fort Atkinson litigator Jennifer Weston.
New initiative working; 120 warrants cleared (Courier-Express) BROOKVILLE - The long arm of the law has gotten even longer in Jefferson County. In 2008, Jefferson County Sheriff Carl Gotwald initiated an aggressive campaign to corral people wanted by warrants issued in the county.

Live bands and polka dancing every Sunday from January through April. The well-attended dances started as a way to raise money for building upkeep, but have become a cherished tradition. For a mere $6, you can dance or watch others whirl around the spacious dance floor from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Volunteers serve homemade food in the lower level in case you work up an appetite!
