Cinderella is the timeless story of a poor young girl who wishes to go to the ball and marry the prince of her dreams. Unfortunately she is under the thumb of her evil step-mother and two equally wicked step-sisters, Joy and Portia. Originally written as a television special in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, and rewritten for a new production for TV in 1965 starring Leslie Ann Warren, the show features such classic songs as "In My Own Little Corner", "Ten Minutes Ago", "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?", and the hilarious "Stepsisters’ Lament". This is a show that the whole family can enjoy. There are many good parts including the Step-Sisters, The King and Queen, The Prince, The Fairy Godmother, and, of course, Cinderella. The show is presented by the Watertown Players under the direction of Bill Jannke and Bryan Quinn, with musical direction by Jennie Ortega and choreography by Annette Strege.
