Weber joins race for county judge post (Watertown Daily Times) JEFFERSON - Attorney Jennifer Weber of Zick & Weber Law Offices in Johnson Creek has announced she will seek the Jefferson County Branch I Circuit Court Judge's position currently held by John Ullsvik who is planning to retire. With Weber's announcement, a primary becomes necessary Feb. 17. It will also feature Watertown attorney Steve Luchsinger and Fort Atkinson litigator Jennifer Weston.

Update: Winter advisory canceled for much of area (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) A winter weather advisory for portions of south central and southeastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, has been canceled. The advisory remains in effect, however, for southern portions of the area, according to the National Weather Service in Sullivan.

Jefferson gets input on school proposal (Watertown Daily Times) JEFFERSON - Although survey respondents have been split regarding whether or not another high school facilities referendum should be undertaken immediately or delayed until the economy stabilizes, about 30 people in attendance at a public hearing conducted Wednesday night by the Jefferson School District were mostly in favor of a spring referendum.

Man falls from Wisconsin Ave. bridge; rescue in progress (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) The heavy urban rescue team of the Milwaukee Fire Department is on the scene at 101 W. Wisconsin Ave. working to rescue a man who fell from the bridge into the Milwaukee River, department spokesperson Tiffany Wynn said.
