Monthly antique auctions held at the Jefferson County Fair Park. Auction starts at 9am CST.

There are hundreds of lots at the Fair Park's Antique Auctions, including items such as:

furniture for the bedroom, parlor, kitchen, dining room, attic, basement, garage, barn, and shed, including: dressers, beds, chairs, tables, cupboards, desks, floor lamps, rugs, and all kinds of miscellaneous items in both refinished, and as-found condition

small items such as: jewelry, toys, fine glassware and China, paintings, prints, frames, photographs and other art, crocks, jugs, and other stoneware, pottery, clocks, postcards, trade cards, other paper collectibles, advertising items, quilts, linens, tools, primitives, cast iron items, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor sport items.

Terms: Cash unless check approved with state photo ID. Visa, MC, AMEX, Debit Cards. State Photo ID required for bid number. 10% buyer fee. ATM on site.

Betsy Miller, have accepted positions on the foundation's board of directors.

Campus Notes (Albert Lea Tribune) Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, has announced the top winners who participated in fall scholarship days Nov. 9 and Nov. 16. Students interested in attending Wartburg College received Presidential and Regents scholarships ranging from $5,000 to full tuition.

Wisconsin may cut county fair prizes, minority business grants amid budget woes (Pioneer Press) MADISON, Wis. — Solving Wisconsin's budget problems may mean cutting prizes at county fairs and grants to bolster minority businesses.

Man falls from Wisconsin Ave. bridge; rescue in progress (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) The heavy urban rescue team of the Milwaukee Fire Department is on the scene at 101 W. Wisconsin Ave. working to rescue a man who fell from the bridge into the Milwaukee River, department spokesperson Tiffany Wynn said.
