Farm Technology DaysFarm Technology Days 2009
Wisconsin's biggest agricultural show of the year will be held in Dodge County on July 21-23, 2009, at the Crave Brothers Farm, LLC, Waterloo.

Crave Brothers' expanded dairy facilities, a manure digester and an on-farm cheese plant are all a part of this progressive dairy farm. Farm tours will be offered along with the field demonstrations, entertainment, educational programs and a huge agricultural trade show.

This technology exposition--the largest in Wisconsin--is a three-day outdoor event that showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture. Each year, it is held in a different Wisconsin county--on a different host family farm.

About the show
This will be the third time Dodge County has hosted the show. The first show was in 1964. Farm hosts were Hazen Canniff, Dudley Huettner, Ed Stegner and the Dodge County Fairgrounds. In 1991 the show was hosted by Brownsville dairyman Gordon Berg.

Jefferson County hosted the show twice, first in 1956 when it was hosted by Craig Bean and William and Theodore Ward and again in 1984 when it was hosted by the Bernard Walter family.

Farm Technology Days, formerly known as Farm Progress Days, began in 1953 as a national plowing contest. It was expanded in 1954 and hosted by Waupaca County farmers Robert Mundinger, Arthur Schuelke and William Vaughn.
