This special fund-raising event is for Lake Mills resident Gavin Winslow, who needs to raise $100,000 for a much needed kidney transplant. For more fundraising events, visit savebabygavin.com or search the events section here, keyword: Gavin.

A Concert of Music and Play with Jim Gill

A concert with Jim is an active sing-along and clap-along for young children. Jim bangs out energetic rhythms on his banjo while everyone sings, claps, jumps, dances and even sneezes along. Visit www.jimgill.com to learn more about Jim and his energetic children’s concerts. To see more details about the event, please click here to see the event flyer.

Gill, along with every other person involved with the concert, is offering his services for no charge so all the proceeds go to Gavin’s fund (see 'About Gavin', below). After the concert, a family fair will feature a magician, balloon artist, clowns, face painting, tattoos and a silent auction.

Lake Mills, WI – With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. In Lake Mills, volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like local child Gavin Winslow.

Born on February 23, 2006, Gavin was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease, and doctors at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee recommended a life-saving kidney transplant. An estimated $100,000 is being raised by Lake Mills volunteers.

Volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising activities. Individuals and groups interested in more information can contact Arlene Davis at 800.366.2682 or arlene@cota.org.

Donations may be made in person at any Chase/Bank One branch location using account number 02722049638 or mailed to the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, 2501 COTA Drive, Bloomington, Indiana, 47403. Checks or money orders should be made payable to COTA, with “In Honor of Gavin Winslow” written on the memo line of the check. Secure credit card donations are also accepted online at www.cota.org.
Gavin’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association. The organization’s priority is to assure that no child is denied a transplant or excluded from a transplant waiting list due to lack of funds. One hundred percent of all funds raised are used for patients’ transplant-related expenses.
